ABOUT US
We are located at 25930 40th Avenue in Aldergrove, British Columbia, proudly serving the Fraser Valley and beyond.
After graduating from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan and a brief
stint in Ontario, Dr. David Paton founded this practice in 1979 as a solo ambulatory large animal
veterinary service.
In 1998 Dr. Martin moved from Connecticut, where he worked in a sport horse practice, to the Fraser Valley
and in 1999 became a partner in the practice. Following this partnership the business changed its name to
Paton and Martin Veterinary Services Ltd. Along with the philosophy of providing excellent medical care to the
horses in British Columbia, Drs. Paton and Martin recently expanded their services by building an equine
hospital and hiring Dr. Antonio Cruz, a board certified equine surgeon who was a professor in large animal
surgery and equine surgeon at the Ontario Veterinary College, to provide full medical and surgical care.
The practice also employs several other staff members and registered veterinary technicians, which completes a
team of professionals dedicated to your horse’s care.
We strive to exceed the expectations of our clients by providing excellent health care to your horses and
excellent service to you. It has been the practice priority to always look after the best interest of the
horse first and foremost and this is reflected in our day-to-day activities. The practice’s staff has been
hired with the criteria in mind that your horse’s health and well-being is our number one priority.
We are always looking for innovative ways and equipment to provide a better service and better care for
your horse. This facility is the beginning (Phase I) of much bigger plan to provide excellent care to the
horses in British Columbia.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
